6 Directions The WWE Divas Revolution Can Go From Here
5. Rebrand The Damn Title Already
As my fellow contributor John Bills alluded to earlier this month, this is hardly a new idea, and given the success of Total Divas, it perhaps seems like a big ask, but surely, if there was ever a time to bring the Women' s Championship back and retire that pink butterfly...thing, now is it.
The division is arguably more stacked with amazing wrestlers than ever, so give them that legitimacy and call the title what it is. Even if the 'Diva' tag must stick, that belt really could do with a makeover so it looks less like a toy and more like, y'know, a wrestling championship.
Again, it's an obvious comparison, but it's worked wonders for the respectability of the women's division in NXT, and there really isn't a better champion to introduce that change than Charlotte. Title makeovers rarely make as dramatic an impact as WWE would probably like (although I did mark out for Cody Rhodes bringing back the old school IC title that time), but in this case, it'd be a consolidation of their efforts to put the spotlight on the women heading into 2016.
They're WRESTLERS, let the title they're fighting for reflect that.
