6 HUGE NXT TakeOver: New Orleans Predictions You Need To Know

5. Ladder To Heaven

NXT TakeOver New Orleans
WWE

A loaded battle, NXT's North American Title will almost certainly land in the clutches of Impact Wrestling refugee and original NXT escapee EC3 if rumours of its broader purpose are to be believed.

Said to be a touring title similar to the largely forgotten UK Championship, the belt would afford the holder a slot on countless independent shows to build its prestige and foster working relationships with talents and promoters across the country as Triple H continues to effectively do everything Vince McMahon did in the 1980s but backwards to double the billions already made by the empiric McMahon clan.

To this end, Carter is a perfect heel to carry the brand new prize, but the match decoding his fate should be nothing like the festival of chinlocks that'll follow. Fellow newbie Ricochet will bring the highspots, Lars Sullivan and Killian Dane will be on hand to deliver terrifying power with pace, whilst Adam Cole and Velveteen Dream are perfect heel and babyface foils respectively to dodge those various bullets in a quest to snatch the strap. All six will want to steal match-of-the-night honours, despite a potentially drab ending.
