It might be considered cheating by some, but we're going to let both the One Night Stand 2005 and 2006 events off the hook here. That pair of ECW revivals took place in the old Hammerstein Ballroom in front of around 2,500 each, and that was essential to their success. WWE wanted to give the shows that old-school original ECW flavour.

Apparently, they didn't come December To Dismember in late-'06.

The James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia was chosen as the ideal site to hold this WWE-ECW failure. The card was a shocker, which didn't help, and WWE's new format for a beloved hardcore niche product was already flopping less than six months in to its proper run. That must be why only 4,800 fans attended the show.

Hey, wait, that's almost double what One Night Stand 2005 and 2006 got, right? Yes, it is, but they took place in the smaller confines of Hammerstein, and the James Brown Arena could hold 9,167 punters. That means WWE didn't even manage to half-fill the place.
