6 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Nov 24)

2. Miscellaneous McMahon Megalomania

Triple H Shane McMahon
WWE

The McMahons were on rare form this week, even by their standards.

At Survivor Series, part-timers Shane McMahon and Triple H spit-roasted the entire top-tier main roster, across both brands, by respectively positioning themselves as the hardest men to have ever walked Vince McMahon's green earth. The Triple H ego trip has been well documented; his preferred question was answered yet again.

"Am I f*cking going over?!"

Yes. Of course.

Shane McMahon didn't go over, but he made d*mn sure to get over - in theory - by withstanding Kurt Angle's ankle lock for five minutes and smashing the sh*t out of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn with a steel chair. The silence in that arena was a beautiful sound for those enraged at this tone-deaf display. Stephanie, meanwhile, waved off Daniel Bryan's accusations of nepotism with a simple "It's Triple H!" - as if Trips is Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman rolled into one. Vince, in addition to overseeing this incestuous circle jerk, was also captured on the Kevin Owens 365 Network special seething at the failure of the subject's WrestleMania 33 bout with Chris Jericho - a feud he demoted, and a match he likely overproduced beyond recognition.

The more things change...
