6 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Oct 27)
3. He Can't Save His Spot, But...
…Davey Boy Smith, Jr. saved a life this week.
In a happier story than the usual puzzling wrestling conundrums grown men spend far too much time concerning themselves with, the son of the British Bulldog saved a suicidal going woman from committing suicide in Calgary on Sunday night.
Said Smith in an interview with WrestleZone:
“A good thing with my training is when I had her in the mount position she was really trying to squirm and get away and buck me off. People, when they are in this sort of “fight or flight” mode, they have a really huge adrenaline rush and sometimes they can be very, very strong and powerful for a short amount of time. I was able to mount her and she kept trying to buck me off and I told her, “You’re not going to buck me off. You aren’t going to move unless I let you move.”
Smith, thankfully, was able to hold her in place until the police arrived on the scene.
Wrestling isn’t the nicest industry to devote your personal life to, so stories like this are refreshing to read about - until some Twitter trash accuses him of virtue signalling or something, at which point we can rest easy with the knowledge that the sky is, in fact, falling.
