Move over Elf: coming out of the latest pay-per-view WWE have a real opportunity to put Jinder Mahal on the shelf. As a headliner, Mahal has been adequate, but he's blatantly not in the same league as someone like AJ Styles. That became clear once more at Clash of Champions, and it's time for AJ to move on.

Styles has 5-star matches aplenty in him, but he needs the right men to work with if we're going to see them in 2018. That was Jinder's big title rematch on Sunday and he lost. Surely this means he'll be cycled out of the WWE Title picture in time for WrestleMania season and replaced by bigger names fans yearn to see AJ work against.

We're talking the likes of Kevin Owens and Shinsuke Nakamura. Don't get us wrong, Mahal successfully forced his way into a top heel spot in 2017, and that's something he should be applauded for. The matches between he and Styles have nothing new to offer though, so it's time for AJ (and the title) to move on from Jinder for a while.
