6 Predictions For NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III

3. The Authors Of Pain Overcome Sanity

The Authors Of Pain are in an interesting position at the moment. They spent the first half of the year fending off the superb DIY and Revival, but the former have since split, and the latter are on the main roster. Competition is extremely thin, and after defeating the horrendous Heavy Machinery on NXT TV, they've now been forced into feuding with the brand's other dominant heel faction.

Akam and Rezar have leaned babyface throughout the rivalry. It's an odd fit for them, but given Sanity's failure to get over to the level that WWE would like, it makes sense for this particular match. The ever-improving duo won plenty of new fans during their matches with DIY and The Revival, and while both still have much to learn, they're at least building a fanbase.

A title change is definitely possible, as there'll be little left for The Authors to do if they triumph, but they'll probably win regardless. It's hard to imagine WWE burning their dominance against a duo like Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain, who are both excellent performers, but haven't been given much of a build as potential NXT Tag Team Champions.
