6 Questions Stone Cold Steve Austin Failed To Ask Vince McMahon
3. Is Cesaro's Push On Hold Because He Criticised The Product?
At WrestleMania 30, Vince thought Cesaro had "it" - he booked the strongman to go over in spectacular fashion in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. Soon after, he had Cesaro backed by Paul Heyman, the mouthpiece (and advocate) of the WWE champion and conqueror of the Undertaker's undefeated streak, Brock Lesnar. But, as of late, Cesaro's run has fizzled, and he's suffered a string of embarrassing losses, with the company clearly moving him away from the path to stardom which he seemed destined for. Oh and, purely coincidentally, in an October interview Cesaro said: "Im sick of seeing John Cena against Randy Orton for the 500th time." So we're supposed to believe Vince when he tells us he thinks Cesaro just doesn't "have it"? That's Mr McMahon's official line and, given the superstar's recent publicising of his critical views on the WWE product, it just doesn't seem believable. Sadly, Austin accepted McMahon's views as genuine, and didn't even question whether the boss was punishing his up and comer for airing dirty laundry. Legions of WWE followers and Cesaro admirers are left wishing that Austin had called BS on this one.
