6 Reasons Bray Wyatt Must Win At WWE Extreme Rules 2017

1. Bray Wyatt Needs To Turn Babyface

A Bray Wyatt babyface turn is long, long overdue.

The turn seemed to be imminent following WrestleMania 32, when Bray teamed with Roman Reigns and shot The Big Dog out of his finger like a cannon (not literally) in one of last year's most stirring images. The Wyatts were poised to turn face and take on the League of Nations, but the injury gods conspired to throw a spanner into that plan. Bray got injured, and when he eventually returned he did so as a heel.

RAW's alignments need a shake-up. The flagship show somehow feels short of both heels and faces, but a few changes could feasibly fix that problem. Roman Reigns obviously stands outside of traditional alignments at this point, and allowing Finn Bálor to continue the work he was doing in NJPW as a heel could also paper over many cracks.

In truth, it matters little about RAW as a whole when it comes to Bray Wyatt. The Eater of Worlds has been a heel from day one, and a switch to the good side is long overdue. Bray has shown briefly in the past that his promo style fits the role of babyface, and the unpredictable cult leader fighting against the machine needs to happen, and it needs to happen yesterday.

By winning the Fatal 5-Way and feuding with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, Bray Wyatt could finally cement a turn that has been needed for well over a year. This would lead to a reinvigorated Bray Wyatt, a fresh WWE RAW and a whole slew of storyline options for a number of performers moving forward. There are a number of reasons why Bray must win on Sunday, but this is the biggest.
