6 Reasons The End Of The Authority Needs To Be The End Of Authority In WWE
3. It Would Place Greater Importance Back On The Role
This isn't to say there shouldn't be any authority at all, of course. But as stated before, seeing a figure in charge appear week in and week out kind of diminishes the impact of seeing any at all. Back when there was a WWF President in the guise of Jack Tunney and later Gorilla Monsoon, they very rarely appeared in person, usually making decisions from their office. And when they did appear? You knew it was something serious, something that needed a higher power to step in and take charge. Signing the hugest of title matches, or establishing the stipulations to put an end to a feud once and for all. Not seeing them all the time makes the role feel more important and even more special, rather than business as usual. Less, in this case, really is more. The reaction Vince McMahon himself gets when he appears these days would seem to prove that.
