WWE: 7 Reasons Owen Hart Should NEVER Go Into Hall Of Fame

2. His Wife Says No

owen hart The simple fact of the matter is that Owen Hart's wife does not want Owen to enter the WWE Hall of Fame. She does not want the company responsible for his death to benefit or profit from Owen's name or likeness in any way. She has every right in the world to feel that way and yet many fans just don't seem to understand. After reading Martha Hart's book "Broken Harts: The Life and Death of Owen Hart" one should be able to put themselves in her shoes. And yet fans still want to call her bitter, unfairly emotional, and even harsher names too disrespectful to repeat. Even Bret Hart questions Martha, as if she is somehow in the wrong. Why is it so hard to see her perspective? Her husband died falling from the rafters doing a stunt he was uncomfortable with and untrained for. Although "anything can happen in the WWE" there was no reason Owen Hart should have been asked to be put in that situation in the first place. Not to mention that years after the initial settlement over Owen's death, Martha had to sue WWE again for failing to properly reimburse the family as they slowly began to sell products with Owen's matches, likeness, and name on them. Once again, a settlement was reached. They have shown their disdain for Martha and it is not a good look. But the reasoning behind Martha's refusal is a moot point anyway. It doesn't matter why she refuses to give her blessing it only matter that she has said no. She is his widowed wife. Only her answer should matter, not the reason why, and WWE should respect the wishes of the one they've already hurt so much.
