6 Reasons WWE Fans Won't Miss Batista While He's Gone

5. His Presence Hurt Randy Orton's Status

From August to April, Randy Orton was a featured performer in WWE. We heard all about how he was the "face of WWE" that was billed as the guy that any WWE superstar would want to be like. JBL says in nearly every match of his that if you could build a star from the ground up you would want it to look like Orton. Leading up to WrestleMania and beyond, Batista stole some of Orton's thunder. Remember that it was Batista that tapped out to Daniel Bryan in the WrestleMania 30 main event. It wasn't Orton, who was the WWE Champion. They barely gave Orton any microphone time in the last two months because when he was in the role of Batista's buddy (along with Triple H) he became just another guy. There's also the matter of Orton getting his WWE Title rematch. It's been over two months. Still nothing. Obviously Daniel Bryan is hurt right now, but Orton seemed content in not caring about it and that's partly because of his association with Batista and Triple H. Now that Batista is gone, Orton will go back to having a bigger role again.
