6 Second Generation Wrestlers Who Could Be The Next Big Thing

6. Austin Gunn

Austin Gunn had it harder than most as a kid. Think about it: he grew up as the son of a guy calling himself 'Mr. Ass' on television. His dad's gimmick was literally to shake his butt and be obsessed with all things anal. Now, all these years on, young Austin has reportedly signed for ROH. It's funny how things turn out.

Gunn Jr has only been wrestling for around two years, and he started training under his father aged 22. After that, Austin went to the Team 3D Academy for further seasoning under Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. Both experiences have stood him in good stead, and he of much "Assitude" is considered a top prospect.

Fingers crossed he finds his own gimmick and doesn't rely on dad's ass-inine antics.

Austin appeared as part of the 'Over The Budget Battle Royal' before last year's All In, and he's been working steadily on the indy scene (in groups like OVW, MCW Pro etc) since debuting. It's a slight surprise AEW didn't come knocking, but maybe Gunn wants to make a mark on his own away from Billy.
