In the midst of his well-documented feud with Mankind, The Undertaker constantly found himself on the wrong end of interference from The Executioner and, as a result, 'The Phenom' sought to put an end to his new foe when the pair met in an Armageddon Rules Match at In Your House: It's Time in late '96.

Just what is an Armageddon Rules match, you ask? Well, that's funny because that's exactly what we were all asking back in 1996. However, it turned out that the mysterious new match concept was nothing more than a Texas Death match in disguise, as in order to be crowned victorious, you first had to pin your opponent and then allow the referee to initiate a 10-count.

As 'Taker had upped his game at this stage in his career, he was no longer seen as just being a monster-slayer and was undoubtedly at his best when he was working with more agile opponents. Unfortunately, The Executioner wasn't able to keep up and, as a result, we had a slow plodding affair with a predictable outcome. Not exactly the best way to debut your new-but-not-really-new concept match, is it?

Needless to say, this was the last we ever saw of the Armageddon Rules match.
