6 Talents That NJPW Desperately NEEDS Back
1. Jay White
Bullet Club had always been established as the stable for the evil foreigners, but now the stable is all native Japanese wrestlers who are all following the leadership of EVIL. Just Jay coming back would help give Bullet Club its identity again.
No one has ever doubted Jay's working ability and his character has always been treated strongly, with him pulling a shocker over Tanahashi, and headlining NJPW's biggest show on foreign soil in Madison Square Garden as the IWGP World Heavyweight champion, one of the youngest to ever hold the title. Even after losing the belt he remained the biggest heel threat, taking himself to the finals of the G1 and even holding the intercontinental title, playing a role in NJPW's Double Gold Dash storyline that dominated Wrestle Kingdom.
His cerebral heel character gave NJPW one of its most compelling villains, and someone who could do English language interviews to keep foreign fans invested. He also executes moves with a thespian level of psychology, making sure each strike carries weight in the overall story of the match. With the New Japan Cup having come and gone, Jay was beyond conspicuous by his absence, creating a hole in the roster that hopefully he can fill on his return.
Still though, one has to wonder how well Bullet Club will take to its returning leader with their new frontman capturing them their most prestigious title.
