6 Times John Cena Quickly Rose Above Injury

4. Hip Flexor Injury (2010)

In late-2010, Cena took part in a steel cage match against Wade Barrett at an untelevised card in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Late in the match, Cena came up limping after a bad landing, and was later found to have suffered a hip flexor injury. Such injuries greatly hinder mobility (removing the ability to lift legs or bend at the waist normally), and can be long-term injuries without proper care. NFL players have had careers cut short after trying to gut their way through them. In just two weeks, Cena was back to working house show matches, albeit on a somewhat lighter schedule. By the time the 2011 Royal Rumble had come around five weeks after the injury, Cena was already working on a full-time basis once more.
