6 Times John Cena Quickly Rose Above Injury

3. Bone Chips In Elbow (2012)

Fresh from tearing down the house with CM Punk in a WWE title bout at Night of Champions, Cena was forced out of action with an injury to his right elbow. Surgery was required when it was discovered that the range of motion in Cena's arm had greatly diminished. The famed Dr. James Andrews performed the surgery, where rest and rehab would be vital to regaining his arm's mobility. Cena was only expected to be out for a few weeks, and no more than two months. He did miss out on a rematch with Punk at October's Hell in a Cell, but was back in November in time for Survivor Series. Though Cena didn't shake off the injury with usual swiftness, it makes one wonder how long he had been performing at a high level while his arm was as damaged as it was.
