Who Should Have Won - Drew McIntyre

Kane experienced something of a career renaissance in the summer of 2010.

The Big Red Monster began a storyline in which he accused wrestlers of attacking The Undertaker, only to be predictably be revealed as the assailant himself. Kane won the first Money in the Bank ladder match held at the eponymous pay-per-view, and also became the first to cash it in on the same night.

Kane's World Heavyweight Championship run eventually fizzled out following The Undertaker feud, and by 2010 it seemed as though his win was more of a 'thank you' than what was best for business. A number of more viable superstars were involved in the match, including Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston and Cody Rhodes.

For the second time in a matter of months, Drew McIntyre was the overwhelming favourite to win the Money in the Bank ladder match. History repeated itself, and The Chosen One was once again not chosen claim the prize.

Drew would have made a lot of sense as a briefcase holder. His was the story of the gifted athlete who had everything handed to him on a plate, who still took the shortest shortcut imaginable. It is one that always garners a lot of passion from wrestling audiences. Look no further than Roman Reigns.

WWE decided against pulling the trigger on McIntyre the first time around. Maybe there remains a briefcase in his near future.
