6. Angelico vs. (WHO THE F*CK IS) Griff Garrison

Hybrid 2 man Angelico appears to be getting some singles focus at the moment. Last week saw him go hold-for-hold in a losing effort to SoCal Uncensored's Frankie Kazarian, who outdid him in a slick, mat-based encounter. Here, Angelico scored an expected victory, outclassing Being The Elite moonlighter Griff Garrison - who may have been signed to the promotion.

Angelico was given another chance to emphasise his time spent learning from underappreciated lucha genius Negro Navarro, whose llave style was pushed to the forefront once more. The bout told a simple story of Garrison trying (and failing) to hang with a superior technical wrestler and while Griff was able to craft a couple of openings, he was never far away from being tied up again, with Angelico completely effective in neutralising the enhancement talent.

A solid match and a nice win for Angelic, whose style is unlike anyone else in AEW.
