Not only is Johnny Gargano killing it between the ropes at the moment, but his microphone work is reaching five-star standards too. He's hitting nothing but home runs at the moment, and knocked another ball out of the park at the top of the show, delivering a typically impassioned diatribe on New Orleans, Tommaso Ciampa, and his plans going forward.

He put the Ciampa storyline over huge, running through the heartache brought on by his former best friend's betrayal, and the inner turmoil he'd experienced since that crutch-swinging loss to Andrade Almas banished him from NXT. Ultimately, though, Gargano was grateful. Grateful not only for the fans' support, but that of his wife, Candice LeRae, whom he thanked for helping him through the past few months.

Candice got on the mic herself, setting up her main event with Zelina Vega. Then, Johnny's targets drifted over to NXT Champion Aleister Black, whom he traded words with at the end of the night, establishing what should be a fantastic bout between the two next week.

Clan Wrestling ticked every box on their busy night. This author chooses not to read spoilers, so the excitement for Black vs. Gargano is very, very real. Let's just hope that 'Blackheart' guy isn't watching...
