6 Ups & 1 Down From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 18)
4. An Unstoppable Duo
With Austin Aries out the picture, the spotlight now shines on Moose and Killer Kross.
It's great to see that Impact aren't going to be ending their alliance with Double A gone. The two have really gelled as a unit since joining forces, with their presence alone making anyone quake in their boots. Seeing what they did to Eddie Edwards at BFG with that apron powerbomb was just brutal to watch.
This week's victim, sorry, opponent, was Eddie's partner on Sunday, Tommy Dreamer, who went one on one with Kross. It wasn't actually much of a match in the latter stages though- Dreamer was ruled unable to continue after two Doomsday Saito's. That sort of match ending shows how much faith Impact have in them. Referee stoppage angles are typically only used if they're genuine, or if it's to put someone over as a threat. In this case, it was the latter.
Obviously, you could just put both of these men in the World Championship picture. But why not have them go after the Tag Team Championships instead? Let's face it, LAX vs the OGz and oVe have been done to death. Give them some new challengers, and see what happens.
