6. Short But Sweet Solo Setup

Solo Sikoa Roman Reigns Sami Zayn The Usos Bloodline

Solo Sikoa and his own Bloodline came out early for a quick promo offering Roman Reigns and his troops the chance to surrender before WarGames next week. Nothing especially fancy here, people, but it did portray Solo as a smug would-be ’Tribal Chief’ who thought he had the OG Bloodline backed into a corner before the end of the show changed everything.

His mic time was very short, but also very essential for what was coming later on. The loudest word Solo said was “surrender”. His character figured Roman, The Usos and Sami Zayn would have to see sense and concede that there's no way they're beating him, Jacob Fatu, Bronson Reed, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa 4v5 inside the double cage.

Sometimes, the shortest segments also turn out to be the most necessary. Solo's brief speech gave the OG Bloodline a thread they could chase throughout the entire episode (once they arrived at the building), and it added context to why they'd be in the ring to have a little meeting with the New Bloodline right at the end of the show. Further, Sikoa did well to palm off boos and get the "surrender" bit over.

He's starting to come into his own as a heel on the mic, which is great to see. Some have been hard on him here or there, but loosening up and showing a little more personality has been good for Solo. It speaks volumes that he's still WWE's main man in the group despite heavy fan interest in both Fatu and Reed.

Their time to shine is coming. Bronson has already tasted a bit of that over on Raw.
