6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 26)

4. Dante Martin Impresses

So, mind you, was this.

Dante Martin vs. Matt Sydal sounds like the kind of match this fan would normally skim through without properly paying attention. How's that for honesty? It's true though, but anyone who did that missed a fast-paced cracker. Again, it shone AEW's lights on an emerging young name.

Although Martin maybe could've done with the win, he hardly looked bad in defeat either. Besides, the agent in charge of this match made sure that Dante got his licks in, and they also ensured that both guys made the most of their near-10 minute ring time. That's all anyone can ask from a cold undercard bout really.

Martin and Sydal sprinted through their spots with ease, and they refused to waste any time. Both kept a nice tempo going, and you could tell that Matt was enjoying the challenge of bringing Dante up a notch in front of a booming live crowd.
