6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 26)

5. A Powerhouse Performance

Powerhouse Hobbs Hangman Page
AEW

Dynamite had more in common with Double Or Nothing than just the live audience; AEW decided to give Hangman Page the floor to kick off the show against a member of Team Taz again, and he predictably smashed it. Of course, he couldn't do that all on his own.

Enter one Powerhouse Hobbs.

The fact Hobbs didn't look out of place against a top AEW name like Hangman is one thing, but to perform the way he did and believably come close to an upset was ace. Powerhouse excelled here, and that's a positive sign for AEW's future (one of many when you analyse the younger side of the group's roster).

Spotlighting the breakdown that's currently happening with Taz's lads was also smart. Beef between Brian Cage and Ricky Starks is starting to cost other members of the stable wins, and that's something to keep an eye on as their feud develops.

This was good.
