6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 14)

Mark Briscoe being duped into teaming with Jay Lethal's buddies was a solid addition to Rampage last week. This week, Sonjay Dutt pulled the unhappy Briscoe aside for a little chat and said they're more alike than he might think. Then, he presented Mark with a brand new t-shirt (which presented Briscoe as an outsider).

Segments involving these guys have been well-produced thus far.

Their squash win over The Spanish Announce Project worked too, because it was 100% story. Mark fancied a fair fight, but Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, Dutt and Satnam Singh wanted to bully their way to victory. This kind of simple storytelling is something AEW doesn't do enough of on the undercard.

Usually, this article demonises squashes on Rampage. Not this time - #DuttsBoys (it'll catch on, honest...) had a story to tell throughout, and they did a neat job of it. Bonus points for Briscoe's bemused facial expressions and the way he told Satnam to get the hell out of the way.

"I know what I'm doing!".
