6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 14)

5. Horrible (But Intentionally So)

Matt Menard Angelo Parker Jake Hager JAS

It'd be easy to dismiss JAS doing some rapping as a pain in the arse on this week's show, but...it was intentionally bad. Matt Menard, Angelo Parker and Jake Hager "spitting rhymes" off-beat somehow worked. The only one who had any timing was Parker, but that's alright.

This segment got the relevant points across.

The Acclaimed rushed out to beat JAS down, and the overall feeling coming off this segment is that they've started pulling the nose up on their rivalry. Seeing Menard, Parker and Hager rap poorly was all about that entertainment value, and it didn't eat up too much time on the broadcast anyway.

It was certainly better than some of the promos you see on Rampage normally, put it that way. Big pop for Parker yelling, "You watch your mouth when you talk about him" after Anthony Bowens dissed JAS leader Chris Jericho. Ah, it's the little things.
