6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 25)

1. Getting To The Point

Over on the other channel, WWE were presenting a fine contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Yep, that was a thinly-veiled plug for the SmackDown 'Ups & Downs'. Somebody get to that pay window! Seriously though, their WrestleMania chat wasn't the only well-done contract signing skit on Friday night.

Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa worked the other.

Neither woman kicked the arse out of things time-wise. Rosa was fiery, Britt was aloof and made some valid points, then Mercedes Martinez stomped out to help Thunder wreck shop when all hell broke loose. Jamie Hayter even took a well-received table bump for daring to get involved.

This simple-but-effective segment set up the AEW Women's Title match at Revolution with a bang. Rosa closed the thing by holding the champ's belt high above her head as Martinez growled at Baker's entourage skulking away back up the ramp.

Good work.
