6 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage: New Year's Smash

...'All Ego', baby.

If this was a test from Tony Khan, then Ethan Page passed it with flying colours. He looked like he belonged in there with Cody Rhodes, and that's a super-positive sign that AEW plans to do something with the former Impact Wrestling star. He has some serious potential to breakout in 2022.

Page's push could come as a slight surprise when one considers other young stars on the All Elite roster like MJF and Jungle Boy. Hell, even Daniel Garcia and Dante Martin are starting to get into a groove, but Khan shouldn't overlook Ethan. He has the size, skills and charisma to become a fixture atop cards for years to come.

Cody Rhodes' title bouts typically follow the same sort of formula, and they don't suit every wrestler out there. Kudos to Page for letting Cody lead, playing his parts to the hilt and for managing to show some babyface-like grit by powering through a knee injury towards the end.

Solid night's work for the tag-teamer.
