6 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 7)

5. Solid Tag Team Action

Heavy Machinery

Despite our concerns over the Moss/Sabbatelli split angle, the duo's latest match with Heavy Machinery was just as successful as the last, and had the crowd completely engaged throughout.

The action was explosive, and there was a sweet call-back to their previous bout. Sabbatelli attempted a pin with his feet on the ropes, which was how they'd won the first match, but the referee called out it. A small touch, but an effective one.

Center Stage Theater hated Sabbatelli. He was pelted with "Tino Sucks" chants whenever he was in the ring, and played up to them perfectly, swiping his chiseled abs after downing Tucker Knight. It's a shame him and Moss seem to be heading their separate ways, as this was their most convincing heel performance yet.

Their opponents were great, too. Basic they may be, but Heavy Machinery understand their role perfectly. The "steaks and weights" shtick always gets over with the crowd, and they got another tremendous response last night, particularly in the early stages. Perhaps they'll never be Tag Title material, but Knight and Dozovic are bags of fun.
