6 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Feb 7)

4. Controlled Chaos

Alexander Wolfe Brawl

NXT fans entered last night expecting two big Undisputed Era vs. Sanity matches. In one, Adam Cole would face Killian Dain, and in the other, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish were booked to defend their tag titles against Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe. All of that went to s*** within the first minute, however, prompting General Manager William Regal to reshuffle his card on the fly.

Undisputed hit the ring at the top of the show, but were jumped by Sanity while posing on the ring apron. A huge brawl broke out, with hordes of security guards getting involved, though nobody could contain Dain. Only Regal's arrival brought the chaos to the end, and soon, the two trios were booked in a tornado tag main event, much to Cole and co.'s dismay.

This well executed angle didn't completely flip the script on the show, but it's fun exciting when WWE shake up an existing card. Here, they did so with an exciting brawl that amplified the pure anarchy this feud has become. A great way to kick things off, and its intensity ensured the crowd were suitably warmed up for the rest of the taping, though Center Stage never have trouble raising the decibel level.
