6 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (6 Sept - Results & Review)

Cards on the table time.
Kevin Owens has been on/off mini-feuding with A-Town Down Under for what feels like forever, so this guy was fully prepared to tear their Triple Threat effort to shreds. It was set up clumsily with a nothing backstage skit, and could've easily been totally crap. Now for the good news. It wasn't.
KO beating Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a three-way with handicap moments was actually good clean fun. Sure, Down Under's split story has been dragging harder than a Giant Gonzalez bout, but you're only as good as your last match. This one was action-packed and set up something else for later.
It's probably too late in the day to land this split the same way WWE did with Otis pulling away from Chad Gable right enough. Austin is looking like more of a tool by the week for swallowing Grayson's 'besties' chat. Still, fun match and a popular one with the live crowd.
Either Randy Orton or Sami Zayn (likely the former) will be Kev's mystery tag partner next week.
