Downs...

2. Slightly More Needed?

Let's just get these downers out of the way ASAP.

Right, it's obviously far too early to start getting worried about Bron Breakker's main roster run, but yours truly was hoping WWE would follow up this week's squash with a promo of some sort. Bron needs to reveal a goal or two on SmackDown soon, otherwise he'll end up treading water in meaningless matches.

There are no half 'Downs' here, but Breakker's six second win over Xyon Quinn would qualify as one if so. It wasn't outright bad by any means, but the writers defo could've done a little more to put across what Bron hopes to achieve after moving on from NXT. Character development is key, in other words.

It's tough to flesh him out properly due to everything else going on. That's a fair argument, but WWE clearly has designs on Breakker becoming a major star this year. To get there, they'll need more than presenting him as Goldberg in WCW circa late-1997.

Character. Development. Counts.
