5. Drew Gulak = Human Punching Bag

One of Drew Gulak's last major WWE TV appearances was as a human punching bag for a p*ssed off Charlotte Flair. This week, Gulak played Glass Joe from Punch-Out yet again, only this time he took a beating from Karrion Kross for daring to cross the hourglass-loving sod's path.

Everything about this was pristine.

Seeing Karrion and Scarlett do their old NXT bit on the main roster felt like a long time coming, and Kross looked every bit the main event star when ripping Gulak's head off. Perhaps he'll be allowed to do that to another Drew before the end of 2022? Only time will tell.

This was a solid piece of business, and should defo be viewed as a squash done right. Karrion gave Gulak nothing during his first WWE TV match in 330 days, then stared a hole through Drew's battered and beaten body as Scarlett grinned from ear-to-ear. Simple. Straightforward. Effective.
