6 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (March 9 - Results & Review)

3. A Decent Return For Adam Copeland

Before getting into the bigger talking point, it's only fair to dish out some praise to Nick Wayne for just how great a job he's doing these days as the smug prick youngster who loves the smell of his own sh*t. Learning from the very best on that front - Christian Cage - Wayne is really starting to come into his own as a character in recent weeks and months.

Here, Nick beat Adam Priest in three minutes, but it was the post-match celebrations that amped things up. Of course, after his protege scored the victory, Cage belittled the watching audience from ringside. That is, until one masked fan attacked Christian and revealed themselves to be Adam Copeland.

This was a fun trick - one that's obviously been seen plenty of times over the years - and brought Copeland back to TV in an impactful, attention-grabbing way ahead of his and Cage's I Quit outing on the 20 March episode of Dynamite.

As part of this return, the former Edge pulled a mysterious box from under the ring, with whatever was in that box being enough to halt Christian Cage in his tracks. Admittedly, this did feel a little cheesy for your writer's tastes, but it ultimately depends on what ends up being in the box. Regardless, Cage and Copeland should deliver something great in ten days' time.
