Anyone who reads the Rampage reports regularly knows this writer occasionally goes borderline Jim Cornette when it comes to spotfest-style matches with moves for the sake of moves. Sometimes, he even finds his voice getting a little too high pitched and ranty, so has to calm down.

Only kidding.

Some AEW trios matches can be guilty of trying to be too hectic and cram too much in, but The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn vs. Top Flight and Action Andretti offered just the right amount of speed. Things never got out of control, and that minimised the danger of injury. Safety is important, y'know! There's a difference between calculated high risk and sloppy recklessness.

Kevin Kelly revealed that this was the 10th successful Trios Title defence for the champs. Interestingly, Max Caster hooked Andretti's tights to effectively cheat the high-flying babyface team out of the belts. Is an Acclaimed heel turn incoming? That'd be curious to see, but risky considering their enduring popularity.
