6 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (July 5 - Review)

1. More Of More Of The Same

The Outcasts
AEW

Why are the Outcasts allowed to station themselves at ringside every single week?

The contrivance is becoming woeful, particularly since they are hardly the only outfit to interfere relentlessly in AEW matches. If Tony Khan is running a sports-oriented meritocracy as a babyface promoter, why is this ceaseless carny activity left unchecked? Why hasn't he revoked their presumed manager's license?

To enable f*ck finishes to drag this redundant stuff out, thus avoiding the need to commit time to the division. That's the answer.

Britt Baker Vs. Ruby Soho itself was unremarkable. One very notable botch undermined the first half, but fans did get up for the drama down the stretch. They were convinced that the belt shot delivered by Soho was the finish. The timing and blocking of the finishing sequence was well done too. For once in this endless loop of a storyline, one as interesting as bus route, the referee couldn't be blamed for missing the chicanery. It was a well-concealed smash and grab.

Pay this thing off the second Jamie Hayter is cleared to compete because it is repetitive and unproductive. Britt Baker hasn't been this lukewarm since she first got over.

This thing was booked in two seconds and will longer just as long in the memory.
