6 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (2 Dec)

2. Moose And Morrissey No More

W. Morrissey big booted Moose at the conclusion of last night's IMPACT, effectively ending their alliance, and setting Morrissey up as Moose's next World Title contender. He and Matt Cardona will both challenge the 'Wrestling God' in the Hard To Kill main event.

This had been teased for a while. Moose and Morrissey never dubbed themselves an official tag team, hence why this was always going to happen at some stage, but IMPACT have been careful with their teases. When Moose dumped the former Big Cass out of the Call Your Shot gauntlet match, it wasn't time to end the duo, so this was crafted into a storyline.

The match, as a whole, was fine. Cardona and Eddie Edwards worked well as underdog babyfaces opposite the dominating heels, comedically avoiding Morrissey in the early going, before the seven-footer obliterated Eddie with one swift shove off the turnbuckles.

Cardona rolled up Moose for the surprise win, thus justifying his position in the World Title match at Hard To Kill. The three-way should be fun, just like most of this was; an overall solid build thus far for IMPACT's first pay-per-view main event of 2022.
