6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Clash At The Castle: Scotland (Results & Review)

3. Strong In A Losing Effort

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 Bayley Piper Niven
WWE

Despite being on television a fair amount the past year, Piper Niven has been another under-utilized wrestler on the roster, in that she is much more than the straight woman to Chelsea Green’s comedy act.

Niven finally got a legitimate opportunity to showcase her talent as a bruising heel, and she got to play that role opposite the perfect babyface champion in Bayley. The Role Model would ultimately retain her Women’s Championship, but she had to fight from underneath as Piper used her size advantage and power game to put Bayley in trouble several times.

The outcome of this match wasn’t really in doubt, but the big thing here was Niven showing out when she was given that chance, and Bayley racking up a solid title defense that played to her strengths as a face.
