6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Clash In Paris 2025 (Results & Review)
1. Bella & Becky Have An Off Night
Something went wrong here.
It’s either that both women had an off night at the same time or they don’t have any chemistry together. Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella's timing was off from the opening bell. Things picked up slightly midway through, then they fell apart by the end again. Paris was way more into Becky than Nikki too, which should worry Bella.
She’s a legacy star, but she isn’t a particularly good babyface. It's obvious that Nikki is better suited to being heel. Everything about her presentation is heelish, and the way she carries herself is naturally self-obsessed. It's actually less likeable than Lynch's current act, and that's saying something considering how obnoxious 'The Man' is when stomping around making grandiose claims.
Several serious breakdowns in miscommunication shattered any attempts to build momentum. The live crowd picked up on that, and they started to get quiet after realising that Becky wasn't going to play up to their chanting. Sure, this will go down as a title defence to pad Becky’s record, but that’s all. She was doing much better work with Lyra Valkyria than this, and the Bayley stuff she has going on in the background seems 10x more interesting to boot.
That could be curtains on Bella as someone Trips should rely on for major PLE matches. Harsh? Maybe, but she really was off her game in Paris. Let's chalk this up to that rather than something bigger for now, but the writers might think twice before giving Nikki another title match in late-2025 or into 2026.
