Ups...

6. That Arena Setup

This could be considered a strange early ‘Up’, but the Eiffel Tower set piece WWE had for Clash In Paris looked awesome and is worth bringing up for praise. They actually had a physical set piece out there rather just a big screen showing it or a smaller-scale look like we've seen elsewhere. Oh for the days of those big swinging metal suckers at Backlash 2001. One of the best things about that PPV, being brutally honest.

WWE will likely never bring that sort of design back regularly, but it was heartening to see some physical props for a change. As always, the lighting looked gorgeous. The way that production team beamed cascading flurries of red, white and blue lights around the place really should earn them a bonus. This was one of the most aesthetically pleasing and well-lit wrestling shows ever.

The arena looked resplendent, and the stage setup made this PLE stand out from others. In many respects, it was like a throwback to how things used to be. Of course, the crowd was lively like Backlash 2024 too, but ‘Green Shirt Guy’ was there front row as always. How does he do it?! Seriously. Just how does that dude get hands on the same seats for him and his friends at practically every event across the globe?

Bro's packing some cash. He has to be. He's also one of WWE's most notable superfans.
