5. Maybe Another Time

Picture the scene. You’re sparring with a champion, having spent the majority of your career in this company as nothing more than a jobber. The champion offers you a title match, feeling as if you’ve earned it, but then you yourself turn the offer down because you feel as if you not to prove yourself.

It’s nonsensical, but it works.

Tyler Bate and Jack Starz are the duo in question, with the former offering to defend his Heritage Cup. Jack turning the offer down until he thinks he’s earned it now sets him up for a neat story arc where he, presumably, goes on a short winning streak and/or wins a marquee match to finally allow himself to challenge Tyler. Good stuff here, aside from a Dave Mastiff interview being overlooked in favour of this.
