The match may not have had an awful lot going for it in the end, but full marks to WWE for their - ahem - universe building over the past several weeks.

Wolfgang siding with The Coffeys as the big twist on last week's show was well-handled in the two hours that followed, with their beatdown of innocent victim Ashton Smith enough of a hook for the second hour's main event when Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews went hunting for Johnny Saint to get the match.

That wasn't their only motivation either. Joe and Mark became the first to offer themselves up to Moustache Mountain's tag team challenge. That division feels on life support before it's even had a life - this aggro can only help.

The women's division was given similar focus thanks to the vignette (and post-match beating, but more on that later) delivered by newcomer Jinny. Hour One set the gimmick up whilst Hour Two introduced it physically. These were pleasing cases of WWE getting the simple things spot on.
