Judging solely by crowd reaction, Damage CTRL versus Pure Fusion Collective (ugh, that name) was a disappointment.

However, the tag match actually was really well worked, with Kairi Sane showing a spark fans have wanted to see for some time from her. Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler continued their run as no-nonsense hard heels, bragging about injuring previous opponents in a pre-match promo and just battering away on Sane and Iyo Sky during the match Monday night.

Zelina Vega’s return to get a measure of revenge by taking out Sonya Deville and providing a distraction for Damage CTRL, was a nice touch, and the stereo Insane Elbow and Over-the-Moonsault from the same corner generated the babyface pop that Damage CTRL need to elicit as they continue their journey.

Hopefully, the crowd reactions will come along. Once it does, matches like these should stand out more rather than feel like a space-filler.
