1. So Much For Goldberg Being Present

Some reading this may argue that WWE getting through Goldberg vs. Gunther then moving on quickly should be the priority, but the company still needs to put some more gloss on the match before Saturday Night's Main Event on 12 July. All we got on Monday's show was a standard Goldberg hype video, which is something you've watched a million times by now, then...Gunther talking about it and kinda contradicting himself.

Yeah, we're gonna need more than that, guys.

Also, Gunther suggesting that the match will go longer than a few minutes is pretty worrying. Put it this way: There's no chance Goldberg can match Gunther’s style in a lengthy match in 2025. That would've been a stumbling block in 1999 WCW, let alone 26 years later. Sure, Gunther is likely at the windup there (and it does make sense that he'd try to knacker Bill out before beating him), but the lack of Goldberg in person and his Austrian opponent seemingly being unable to decide between Bill being a physical threat and an old hat joke is puzzling.

Gunther said that the hype video on Goldberg was impressive and put over how imposing he was in his prime, but then described him as somebody who never had it. Huh? Which one is it? This speech was caught somewhere between wanting to put over your foe but ridiculing them too. Gunther's formatting was all wrong. If that was scripted for him backstage by one of the writers, then they didn't do a very good job.

Pick a lane, please. Goldberg is either a threat to Gunther or he isn't. You can't have it both ways in the same promo.
