Really, how did WWE go this long and not stick their hottest babyface and hottest heel in the ring at the same time?

Of course, we’re talking about Cody Rhodes and… Dominik Mysterio.

Cody’s ovation was deafening, but so were the boos for Dom Dom as Mysterio was brought out as a surprise guest on Miz TV to confront Rhodes, seeing how both are multi-generational wrestlers. Dominik finally managed to eke out his comments, which included calling Cody a bad father, just like his own deadbeat dad, Rey Mysterio.

Dominik took it a step further after Cody dressed him down, slapping Rhodes and hiding behind Rhea Ripley, just in case people were souring on booing him.

Really, what else can you say about this segment? There really wasn’t a lot of angle advancement here, it was just a great social experiment of putting two polar opposites in crowd heat together to see what happens. And it was fascinating.
