The whodunit story involving Jade Cargill has been put on the back burner for now, and that's probably for the best. WWE shouldn't bring it back up until they've got something impactful to reveal. Besides, Naomi or Bianca Belair (one of those two women surely took Jade out) can continue pulling the wool over everyone's eyes with deceitful smiles in the interim. They're some substitute team anyway.

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez needed something new to do after Liv's business with Rhea Ripley wrapped up on Netflix. So, having them team up to go after the Women's Tag-Team belts is wise. It helps that all four women have shown real potential no matter which combination WWE has put out there in front of fans. Hell, even Raquel is starting to regain some momentum again.

SmackDown's singles effort pitting Liv vs. Naomi was super promising. These women didn't try to do too much, but they got by due to some stunning facial expressions from Morgan and some slick babyface work from Naomi. This was way more aggressive than it had any right to be for a women's tag feud just starting out. That's another huge plus.

Also, there might be something in Naomi using effectively the same finish as her husband Jimmy did earlier on vs. Carmelo Hayes. That was a cool little nod, if so. Yep, casting Liv as someone dangerous who benefits from Raquel's heavy lifting is the way to go. She might've lost this battle, but don't be shocked if Morgan and Rodriguez are next in line to hold the belts.

Then, and only then, the Cargill return story can kick into higher gears.
