3. Nia Jax Is Getting Her Tiffy Time

Poor Candice LeRae was almost "WHAT?!" chanted out of the building. Fair play to her for gritting teeth and getting through a spiteful in-ring promo aimed right at Tiffany Stratton. Candice handled the story of Tiffany being Nia Jax's protege before being replaced expertly. It would've been real easy for her to wilt under the apathetic arena chants Steve Austin introduced 20+ years ago.

LeRae was there to distract Tiffany and feed into Nia's ambush. Stratton used her 'Spidey Sense' to move out of the way just in time, but that Peter Parker-esque ability couldn't save her from annihilation in the end. Jax ended the segment on top, and it seems she'll be getting that Women's Title rematch after all. There had been concerns that WWE would make Nia look like an idiot for cheerfully moving on from Tiffy without seeking revenge.

That wouldn't have make a lick of sense, so it's great that creative looped back around.

One would suggest that Stratton finds a bit more to say on the mic than just, "It's Tiffy Time" or variations on that theme. Have your catchphrases by all means (LA Knight springs to mind), but credible champions must be able to sell feuds with more than mere soundbites. Even so, it's nice to see WWE setting up this championship rematch, 'cause it had to happen.

Jax won't be Tiffany's opponent for WrestleMania in April, but she had to put a bow on pretty much being "stabbed in the back" by someone she took for granted and treated like dirt. As aforementioned, this was the best segment Pat McAfee and Michael Cole were involved in all night.
