6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 4)
2. Oh-no-tis
Some will point out that Otis, for all his ongoing problems, did have a (temporary) spot in the main event. Sure, mixing it with essential characters like Roman Reigns can't be a bad thing, but the one-time Mr. Money In The Bank just feels so directionless right now.
Teaming with Chad Gable won't ease his plight.
WWE should not have given Otis the MITB briefcase or so much shine over the summer if they didn't have a long-term plan for the guy. It's hardly like he crapped the bed during skits with Mandy Rose. In fact, Otis was one of the most popular stars in the company at one stage, and he's not to blame for how badly things have regressed.
Splitting him from Tucker was another mistake. Neither man feels like they're going anywhere, and this thrown-together tandem with Gable is a borderline insult from creative.
