6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (July 2)

2. “I Quit” > HIAC?

Going from Hell In A Cell to "I Quit" is a step down, not up. Sorry, but it's true. WWE seem to believe that the world needs one more Bianca Belair vs. Bayley match, and they presumably panicked about the lack of any stipulations alongside the typically-chaotic Money In The Bank ladder wars.

So, "I Quit" it is then. Great.

SmackDown's writers can throw all the gimmicks at this feud they want. That doesn't change the fact that it's been done to death - three pay-per-views in a row is far too much, and nobody believes that Bayley has any realistic chance of dethroning Belair after losing twice at WrestleMania Backlash and HIAC anyway.

Again, the tone of this rivalry is all over the place. One minute, they're chuckling away like two little girls arguing over silly sh*t. The next, Bianca and Bayley are expected to sell violent stips, and pretend "I Quit" is more dangerous than the Cell.

Blergh.
