6 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 4)

Ups...

6. Finally, Some Pushback

No, Bayley laughing isn't the best. Yes, it's undoubtedly grating and flimsy as a storytelling tool. However, both she and Bianca Belair made the most of things by broaching that subject and revealing that Bayley is only giggling her head off to antagonise the reigning SmackDown Women's Champion.

It's good they stopped ignoring that plot point and gave the laughter some context.

Admittedly, this would've been a 'Down' had WWE not acknowledged that Bayley is only using her cackling as ammo to get underneath Bianca's skin. Like many stories currently raging on, this one doesn't really fit in an ultra-violent battleground like Hell In A Cell. That's the problem with booking to a calendar though.

Yours truly is almost sick of whinging about Bayley's laughs though, and the pair did do a good job with what they had here. The way multiple Bayley's took over those ThunderDome screens was a neat trick too. Now, the next challenge is adding in another layer of menace to her character.
